in time, when Greece wasnt overwelmed by tourim culture and start exploring the island the easy
way on our pedelec bikes. We visit the hellenistic city castle, the old lighthouse at the southmost
point ,deserted villages from a different era, the Kamarela secret baths ,the bird watching center
(Antikythira is an important passage for migrating birds and one of the bigest colonies of Falco Elenonara) on quite roads since
there are only few cars on the island and we finish at the little port to enjoy the
local wine and lamb stew or fresh fish waiting for the boat of return to Kissamos

We then tour the newest village of Polirinia before heading to the ancient settlement, which dates back to the 11th century BC. Nowadays, it’s regarded as one of the region’s most significant archaeological sites.

Experience the beauty of the Balos lagoon as you cycle along the coast, admiring the amazing scenery along the way.
To get to the village of Kalyviani, we head northwest along the coast after leaving town. As we cycle for approximately 11 kilometers, we take in the stunning views of Kissamos Bay until we reach the end of the road. From there, we hike for about half an hour until we reach the stony stairs that lead to the breathtaking Balos lagoon. During the tour, we’ll take breaks to rest and appreciate the stunning scenery around us.
The lagoon’s blue-green waters, wild beauty, and incredible landscapes are just as beautiful as any other exotic destination. In addition to the lagoon’s beauty, the area boasts a great diversity of rare plants and small animals that are unique to this part of the world.
