The beach of Falassarna (Falasarna) might be one of the most famous beaches in Crete and one of the most well-known beaches in Greece. Everyone who visited it adored it and promised themselves to visit it again one day.

It is located 15 km west of the town of Kissamos, passing the village of Platanos. It is an organized beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, cafés and small taverns and it lies on a vast area. For reasons of practicality, it is divided namely in smaller beaches, such as Pahia Ammos, Megali Paralia etc.

What makes Falassarna beach (Falasarna beach) an ideal destination is the crystal blue water and its fine white sand along the entire beach.

The “Blue Flag” is a symbol of quality in over 41 countries today, which is constantly increasing, awarded on strict criteria to organized beaches and marinas operated by coastal Municipalities, hoteliers and others.

You can also visit ancient Falassarna (ancient Falasarna). The area was explored in the late 19th century by British travellers, who discovered the harbour and the ruins of the ancient city. You can rent a bicycle and explore the ancient city.
