This volcanic island with its black petrified-lava-colour and the most famous sunset ever has been rightfully named the “black pearl of the Aegean”! Enjoy our Santorini day trip!

Our trip begins at your base. We pick you up with our bus from your hotel or a location in its vicinity early in the morning and we drive you to the port of Rethymnon, which is where the ship departs from.

The ship departs from Rethymnon at 8:00 and arrives on Santorini Island two and a half to three hours later.

As soon as you reach the island, a coach with tour escort picks you up from the port, the escort accompany you on an island-trip.

The first stop is Oia and you will stay there for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The second stop is Fira and you will stay there for 1 hour.

Subsequently, anybody who wishes so can remain in Fira till 17:00, whereas the rest can go to the beach (Perissa) at will, where they may remain till 17:00, before they return to the ship.

The ship departs from Santorini at 17:30 and arrives in Rethymnon at 20:00.

When you reach the port, our bus will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel.

Bus pick up from Chania area: 4:50-6:00

Boarding at the port of Rethymno

At the port of departure, participants will present their voucher (given by the agency) at the SEAJETS kiosk in order to receive their ferry tickets, a card referring to the right bus number in Santorini and a small brochure in their own language with information about the island and the day tour.

Arrival in Santorini

The itinerary lasts almost 2.5 hours from Rethymnon. At the port of Santorini, our escorts (dressed in a SEAJETS uniform and holding signs with the bus numbers) will welcome the participants and escort them in the right buses.

First Stop: Oia

Then, the buses will leave for Oia. In the days of high traffic, the buses will follow a route by the sea on the east side of the island. Depending on the existing traffic in Oia and the timetable of the tour, the participants will stay for approximately 1½ hour. Later on, the bus will depart for the next stop, Fira.

Second Stop: Fira

On the way to the town of Fira, the participants will receive interesting information by their escort about the history and the geography of the island, while travelling through a large part of the island by road. At their arrival in Fira, they will spend 1 hour to enjoy the Cycladic view from the Caldera, the paved little alleys and the old traditional houses accompanied by their escort. Afterwards, the visitors shall meet up at the Cathedral of Fira and they will be informed about the last part of the tour:

1st option: Visit the Volcano of Santorini (extra charge). The participants will enjoy the unique beauty of the volcano and have the opportunity to swim in its hot springs.

2nd option: Visit the black sand beach of Perissa for swimming and lunch.

3rd option: More free time at the capital of the island, Fira.

*Due to traffic jam on the road from Fira to Perissa Beach, the participants who will choose to go to Perissa Beach, might stay 45 minute less in Fira.

Arrival in Rethymno

Finally, the participants will return to the vessel where they will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the Aegean and Cretan sea in the 2 open decks of the Champion Jet vessel.

Return to hotels or the meeting points
